Art History
This is called the (Untitled) “Your Body Is A Battleground” art piece and this is by Barbara Kruger and was published to the world on the 30/06/1989,
The media that Barbara Kruger uses is a photo she has found, that she has then put in with her photos to make her own in black and white and adding red and “Futura Bold” lettering to the art piece to make it her own and to make it match the art piece itself. With this she then gets it produced and up around cities for people to see and to understand what the art piece means to feminine people.
Barbara Kruger had designed fliers for her art piece to rally in Washington D.C during the female rally, The so called powerful flier was a distribute for the march and the phrasing became a rallying cry for women while the Roe V. Wade decision “was in the process of being turned over”.
Barbara Kruger has been saying:
“I think that there is an accessibility to pictures and words that we have learned to read very fluently through advertising and through the technological development of photography and film and video.”

Females face to go with the newspaper half of the face so you see the comparison of it being real and fake and to show what a female looks like in all natural features.
The wording, Barbara Kruger wants us to understand what the word mean towards a feminist herself and why she put the meaning so that every male understands what a female goes through.
